Take the T-Mobile G1 smartphone which landed just in time for last year's big Christmas shopping rush. We expected big things from the 'Google phone' and while we loved the open OS inside it, outside of that, it was not so desirable.

I remember some exec buying a brace of the Motorola behemoth. Unfortunately he didn't really get the concept. If anyone called him, he would answer with, "in transit," & then hang up!

the zune captured much microsoft stupidity: a new DRM system that was incompatible with their previous schemes, crap colour scheme, failure to even catch up with the alternative, and half-baked ideas aving wifi so you could share ("squirting") music over wifi to others but not actually allowing you to upload music to it over wifi. never sold outside of USA, and noone cared.

the nokia 770 had a touch screen, a groundbreaking hi-res display of 800x480, it had wifi (b/g) and bluetooth.
it's only downsides were a lack of ram and a too-slow CPU to do more advanced things (which the n800 rectified).
but this is T3, so why let the facts get in the way of a good slagging off?
