Kitchen worktops looking stale? Amazon is doing a classic Kitchenaid stand mixer at over £100 off. The catch? It only comes in a kind of pearlescent white. It's pleasing to look at, though.

De'Longhi's outrageously camp Brilliante kettle and Brilliante 4-slice toaster could be another solution to the kitchen drabs. They're both 10 quid off at £34.99.

The battle to find the biggest discount on the most obscure coffee maker continues, with Amazon offering price cuts of up to £190 on Melitta's very sexy looking bean-to-cup machines. The price to you: £239.99.  

A classic espresso machine in eye-catching red, the De'Longhi Icona Micalite can use both ground coffee and ESE pods.

It's not quite tech, as such, but John Lewis has 20% off Le Creuset and up to 50% off pan sets. 

Amazon has the Instant Pot Duo pressure cooker cum slow cooker at a whopping £100 off, £69.99. That is a DEAL.

Its hefty Vax discounts continue with the Vax U84-AL-Pe Air Lift Steerable Pet Vacuum Cleaner getting a price slash of £159, to just £90.99.

Also at the nation's favourite middle-class store are a number of blenders, with perhaps the best deal being the Bosch one that's had £80 knocked off, leaving it at just £39. Yes, 39 quid! 

Want to prepare food like you're from the future, or the 1970s? The Samsung MC28H5013AS microwave is half price at a tasty, but uncooked-looking £132.

Looking to get into smart home tech? Amazon has some great deals for ya.

The standouts are probably the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen at 20% off, and Netatmo's Welcome face-recognition security cam at 35% off.  

How about a Zanussi White 8kg Freestanding Condenser Tumble Dryer for £269? That's 45% off! B-b-b-b-bargain!

LG American Side By Side Fridge Freezer. Add this Shiny Steel appliance to your home today - it was £999.97, but it's now £699.97 (£300 off!).

Hoover Whirlwind Pets Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner. Get this great stand-up vacuum cleaner for only £49.97 (that's 64% of the original price) from Appliances Direct.

Logitech Circle. This fantastic smart camera is easy to set up and highly reliable in our experience, with alerts when motion is detected and 24 hours of free cloud storage of that guy running out of your flat with your PS4. 

It can now be had for a more-than-reasonable £68.99 (a 57% saving on RRP), and used as a baby monitor, security and general lifestyle camera. 

If you'd prefer something that 'Works With Nest', the brand's self-explanatorily-named Nest Cam Security Camera is £115, down from £159.

Hive is offering 20% off its heating and smart home products from its own website or by calling 0800 980 0649 if you're elderly. 

Products on offer are Hive Active Heating (pro and self-install, includes upgrades and Hive Multizone), Hive Active Plug single and multi-packs, Hive Active Light single and multi-packs and the Hive hub.

Last and probably least, Oral-B's range-topping smart toothbrush, which actually watches you brush via your phone's camera, offering tips as you go, is down to £100 from £280 (!) at Amazon. 

Non-smart home tech deals

Probably the deal of the day, the beautiful Kenwood 5-litre KMX52G Stand Mixer in cream will be at £199 instead of the usual £429 at very shortly, we are assured.

Also at AO, the (deep breath) Vax Dual Power Pro Advance W85-PL-T Carpet Cleaner with Heated Cleaning (gasp) is 70 quid off at £179.

Everyone loves a Nutribullet deal, and Currys has the Nutribullet Pro 900 Series NBLP9 for £74.99 – £25 off. 

Not to be outdone, John Lewis has the Nutribullet 600 for £69.95, with a 12-piece accessory set. Oof! 

Leesa Mattresses: the online brand is offering £110 off its mattresses (a double is usually £590) with the voucher code Blackfriday110. 

The discount comes in the form of £80 off, plus a £30 Amazon voucher.

If you want a more straightforwardly discounted mattress, Amazon is doing Silentnight 7-zone memory foam ones at up to 60% off.

Ebay has a large selection of Black Friday homewares, from cheapo white goods to discounted Dysons. Savings vary from just getting free P&P to 40% off. Check. It. Out.

Among a number of tool bargains at Amazon is the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 cordless hammer drill. With two gear speeds and adjustable torque, it's half price at £45.

It's slightly less than half its asking price of £599, for which we can even forgive the slightly boring styling.


Coffee machines, especially pod ones, are all over the place.

Lavazza Mio Modo Fantasia LM7000. The pick of the bunch, despite its exceedingly poncy name, is £50 off at John Lewis. 

Lavazza's pod system is equal to Nespresso and superior to the rest, in our humble opinion. 

Few Nespresso machines have been in the Black Friday rush, alas. But you can now get Nespresso U Coffee Machine with Aeroccino by KRUPS at John Lewis for £120 (£40 off) AND get a voucher for £75 off pods. You will need pods.

John Lewis also has some great luxury offerings. The Sage by Heston Blumenthal the Dual Boiler is not only £100 off, but also comes with a free coffee grinder.

Alternatively, the Jura F85 bean to cup machine, which is normally insanely overpriced, is now only mildly overpriced at £699 - that's 300 quid off.

Further down market, Currys has a Bosch Tassimo Amia Tas at just £29 - over 40 quid off its original price. 

After something newer/higher end/more endorsed by Will.I.Am? Amazon has the bonkers looking, higher-spec, 15-bar Dolce Gusto Movenza Touch at a '12% discount'. Or, 20 quid off, if you're not a maths guy.

Finally, if you're after something altogether more serious, Delonghi's Magnifica bean-to-cup machine is a less-than-half-price £349 at Currys. Unlike a lot of Delonghi's stuff, it is really rather attractive, too.

Washing machines, fridges and dishwashers

You want white goods deals? has white goods deals, friend. 

The LG GMB714PZXV American Fridge Freezer in stainless steel (not all white goods are actually white) has a 499 litre capacity and is £399 off.

There are a load of cheaper washing machines if money is tight, but our pick is the Miele W1 WMH121, which is £300 off to just squeak in under a grand. Miele machines are the bomb.

Alternatively, get 11% off a high-tech Samsung Ecobubble machine, down to £469 from £529.

Over at Currys, meanwhile the silver goliath that is the Samsung RB29FWJNDSA fridge freezer is £121 off at £299. Its got an 188 litre capacity in the fridge and 98 in the freezer bit.

Combi ovens are awesome. Using a mix of microwave, convection and grill, they're great for roasting meats, cooking veg more healthily and, well, everything really. 

They don't always have the greatest longevity, though, making them a classic "Oh well, might as well" Black Friday sales purchase.
