Vyclone makes claim to 'Instagram of video' title
The battle to create the de fact app for sharing video took a new twist this week with the launch of the UK-exclusive Vyclone for iPhone allows users to connect with other and co-create movies from different perspectives. So, whether you're at kid's birthday party, or filming a riot it will pull together the footage and mesh together a one minute clip. The creators hope it will become an important citizen journalism tool.
Facebook working on standalone Pages app for iPhone
Facebook is looking to further fragment its app offering by trialing a Pages app for iPhone. The app follows the development of the standalone Messages app, and would allow users to moderate their fan pages or small business pages without entering the main app. The trialed app, which is still i the development stages brings a host of information for Pages stat junkies too.
iZettle mobile payment app and dongle hits UK
The Square payments solution has been a revelation in the United States, powering small businesses, taxi drivers and street vendors and enabling them to take credit card payments through an iOS dongle and app. A new equivalent is launching in the UK hoping to have the same impact. iZettle will adopt a chip and pin-style approach and businesses can apply to sign up now.
Photo-friendly Facebook apps look more like Instagram
Facebook has overhauled its app offering with a new look centred around photography. Pictures now appear three times larger in the news feed, run to the edges of the screen meaning the app looks a lot more like Facebook for iPhone, Android and mobile web now looks a lot more like the Instagram app, which the company recently acquired.
Nokia Reading arrives to take on Kindle for Lumia phones
Nokia is placing a lot of stock in generating exclusive content for its Lumia Windows Phone range of devices. The latest is Nokia Reading, which challenges the Kindle app. The app's major selling point, according to the Finns is, the addition of more languages and a black to white night-reading mode.

This Flickr alternative allows users to browse some of the best photography on the web, as well as comment on the snaps.
