New yoof-market device spotted in the wild
Motorola Charm Android coming to T-Mobile soon
Moto’s newest Android handset (bizarrely codenamed Project Basil) has shown its face as the Motorola Charm. The device rocks a physical QWERTY keyboard a la BlackBerry and a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen. There’s also 512 MB of both RAM and ROM.

The squat little device will sport Android 2.1 and the social networking-friendly MotoBlur UI, meaning it’ll probably be marketed at the Facebook-happy teen market. There’s also word that the back has the same touch-sensitive navigation panel as is found on the Motorola BackFlip, to make the most of the Android OS despite the small screen.
The spy-shot photograph to the right was allegedly taken backstage in a T-Mobile store, suggesting it’s not too far from launch, but there’s currently no official release date. We’ll keep you posted.
