10-inch HTC Puccini tablet leaks as Apple iPad 2 rival

HTC’s expected 10-inch tablet the HTC Puccini has leaked in the US after blueprints for the device emerged during testing at the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

With all electrical devices required to pass FCC testing prior to release in the US, the latest in a long line of leaks from the commission has revealed the 10-inch HTC Puccini tablet could be heading for release in the near future.

Following the arrival of the company’s 7-inch HTC Flyer tablet the HTC Puccini first leaked in May with images and reported stats of the 10-inch tablet suggesting the device will land with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and an impressive 1280 x 800p display.

New features and specs hinted at by the FCC leak have suggested the Android powered tablet device will come equipped with a SIM card slot for 3G connectivity, LTE radios for 4G in the US and a tasty camera and flash combination. Predicted for a September release following an IFA 2011 unveiling the HTC Puccini will go into direct competition with Apple’s market dominating iPad 2.
