Google has been steadily bringing its iPhone and iPad YouTube app up to par with the Android version in this case by adding a send-to-TV function with remote control
YouTube iOS update brings Airplay like functionality to Google TVs
Best TVs
Google has updated the iOS YouTube app adding an Airplay like feature which lets you send YouTube videos from your iPhone or iPad to a compatible Google TV.
Once sent to the TV you can then use the iPhone as a remote control, pausing, skipping and also sharing it with other users, the new update will see a 'send-to-TV' icon whenever it has detected a compatible Google TV over the WiFi network.
Only compatible with Google TVs at the moment, Google has confirmed that it will be adding more compatible Smart TVs from Panasonic, LG and Sony later this year.
The update saw some other improvements including better performance over poor WiFi connections and the ability to record and upload videos via YouTube Capture.

We're working to fix the problem right now and will have it working as soon as possible
