HTC Flyer pre-orders kick off, out in April

But final pricing for Android slate yet to be revealed

Gagging to get hold of a HTC Flyer? Well, online retailer Clove has got something for you. It’s just opened up pre-orders for the Android Gingerbread-packing tablet, saying it’ll be unleashed in mid-April.

The online retailer is asking for an eye-watering £600 for the HTC Flyer, although it admits this is not HTC’s official price tag and that costs will be amended once the Taiwanese tech titan confirms a final figure.

The Flyer was revealed at last month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and pegged for a Q2 release, although many believed it wouldn’t land until June. Chatter about a 10-inch version has also been flying around the web this week.

The 7-inch HTC Flyer rocks a smart stylus, along with 32GB storage, Evernote syncing and a 5MP camera. It comes with Android Gingerbread, however, meaning it can’t quite match up to the Honeycomb slates from Motorola and LG.
