Angry Birds developer Rovio has announced the name of its follow-on to the bird-flinging mega hit with the Finnish app giant confirming the upcoming arrival of a new release entitled ‘Amazing Alex’.
Set to hit app stores later this summer, Rovio has revealed that its eagerly awaited Angry Birds follow-on will touch down for the likes of the iPhone, iPad and Android in two months’ time built around the company’s newly acquired physics-based puzzler from Casey’s Contraption.
With Angry Birds and its flurry of spinoffs dominating the global app scene since its original launch in 2010, pressure is high for Rovio to continue its run of success that will see gamers go on an educational journey through the life of a boy named Alex who likes to build things.
Speaking on the upcoming release Rovio CEO Mikael Hed said: "The quality pressure is high. We want to maintain the high standard Angry Birds fans have come to enjoy."
