Asus reveals two 3D-enabled gaming laptops
Portable 3D gaming inches closer.
Asus has announced a pair of 3D-enabled gaming laptops to hit stores in early 2010.
The G51J3D and G72GX (catchy!) will provide gamers with a portable 3D experience on 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch screens respectively. Although few details have been revealed, the baby G51J3D will pack 4GB of memory, two 320GB hard drives and Nvidia’s GeForce GTX160M graphics chip with 1GB of dedicated DDR memory.

When they are released, these laptops will compete with Acer’s own 3D laptop which can actually convert 2D images into 3D. Unfortunately, if you want one of these mini-powerhouses, you should probably find a buyer for both of your kidneys now, as they’re unlikely to be cheap.
The increasing number of 3D gaming computers available could start convincing developers to make 3D games. When the laptops arrive in 2010 we’ll let you know which brand offers the best 3D experience. Until then, stay tuned for more updates.
