Set to launch in mid July, the HP TouchPad tablet features the webOS operating system created by mobile manufacturer Palm before it was taken over by HP last year. Featuring a 9.7-inch display, HP has out the TouchPad into direct competition with Apple’s formidable iPad 2 device.

Sporting Flash 10.1 and HTML 5 web compatibility, the TouchPad is to feature the benefits of both the iOS and Android platforms yet boasts a considerably smaller offering in its respective app store.
