Following last month's official unveiling and the recent release, the 16GB Google Nexus 7 tablet is listed as sold out in the Google Play Store
Just days after the Google Nexus 7 tablet was made available to consumers, the larger 16GB model is listed as sold out through the Google Play Store.
Made available for pre-order earlier this month, and eith the first advance orders of the Google Nexus 7 tablet hitting consumer's doors in the past week, high demand as seen the higher specced, more expensive 16GB option return to being labelled as 'coming soon' as stocks are diminished.
Whilst the 8GB, £159, Google Nexus 7 tablet is still available to buy online through the Google Play Store with a 3-5 day arrival time, the 16GB, £199, model has been reset as 'coming soon' in both UK and US markets with wannabe owners able to register interest in the device.
Landing earlier than expected, having been officially unveiled during Google’s I/O developer’s conference late last month, retailer Currys was the first to suggest the Google Nexus 7 UK release date would see the Jelly Bean filled tablet launch on July 19th.
A potential challenger to Apple’s strangle hold on the tablet market, the Google Nexus 7 is set to entice a new range of consumers to the tablet market with a Tegra 3 quad-core processor lining up alongside 1GB of RAM and a 1280 x 800p HD display to form a hugely impressive device.
Add to this a minimalist £159.99 price tag for the 8GB option, £199.99 for the 16GB model, and the Nexus 7 slots in as an Amazon Kindle Fire beater that thanks to its 10.4mm thick form factor, 1.2-megapixel inbuilt forward-facing camera and Wi-Fi connectivity option impresses on many fronts.
