Glastonbury augmented reality iPhone app points out loos

Stage times and tent finder join Glasto festival app

Augmented reality festival app helps with fun, food and those oh, so dirty toilets.

Wellies, tents and toilet rolls are being joined by a new piece of essential festival-goers kit, the augmented reality Glastonbury iPhone app.

The official GlastoNav app will use augmented reality to provide toilet, bar and stage locations overlaid on real-life images from the user’s iPhone camera. Maps of the site, performance times and a handy little feature that helps you find your tent from the endless sea of canvass covers are also included in the Orange produced app.

Andrew Pearcey, Head of Sponsorship at Orange UK said: "GlastoNav is the best way to find your way around the Glastonbury festival site and make sure you and your mates don't miss a thing. The brand new, innovative augmented reality app will also ensure iPhone users can find out a range of information from where the nearest toilet is to where they pitched their tents.”

The free-to-download augmented reality GlastoNav app will be available from the Apple iTunes App Store throughout the duration of the festival.
