Microsoft outs new Kinect bundle

Extra game included but price remains the same

Details revealed on Major Nelson blog.

Microsoft has pulled the wrappers off of a new Xbox 360 Kinect sensor bundle. The new package includes the best-selling motion control camera, along with the standard copy of Kinect Adventures, as well as a download code for Child of Eden.

Microsoft’s Major Nelson took to his official blog to outline plans for the new package. “This new bundle will be priced the same as the current sensor bundle and will start appearing in stores next week in all Xbox Live regions (except Japan since Child of Eden has not been released there.) This bundle will be available in limited quantities and while supplies last so be sure to look for the special packaging.”

Kinect has sold well since its launch at the end of last year, but there have been grumblings about the lack of varied titles available for the motion controller. Microsoft attempted to address this at E3 back in June, but we’ll only know how successful it’s really been once the Christmas 2011 sales figures are in.
