Online retail giant Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for the anticipated release of the next addition to the Call of Duty gaming franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Following the leak of a retail poster that shows Activision is to confirm Modern Warfare 3 as the next Call of Duty release in the coming weeks ahead of a claimed November 8th release date, Amazon.com has made the eagerly awaited game available for pre-order priced $59.99 (£37) ahead of a planned early November arrival.
Speculation over the naming and release of this year’s Call of Duty offering has grown in recent week’s with leaks already outing large sections of the game’s plot and storyline with developer Infinity Ward confirming the timeline accuracies.
Despite publisher Activision yet to give any official word on the game’s arrival, a formal announcement is expected to be made in the coming weeks, leaks and widely accredited reports have revealed the first person shooter will feature gameplay levels set in a number of the world’s leading cities with New York, London, Paris and Berlin all given the nod.
