Samsung DV300F unveiled as Wi-Fi enabled dual view camera

Samsung is to continue to pursue the dual-view compact camera line with the DV300F officially unveiled as the first Wi-Fi enabled dual-view snapper

Samsung has officially unveiled its latest addition to the dual view compact camera market with the Samsung DV300F landing with a 1.5-inch forward-facing display.

Pairing the standard rear-mounted screen with a second, smaller, forward-facing offering the DV300F allows users to take those classic Facebook self shot poses with ease and improved framing.

“Our aim is to remain at the forefront of innovation within the 2View market,” said Nick White, Samsung UK’s Head of Digital Imaging. “The new DV300F model with 2View LCD capturing, Wi-Fi connectivity, ultra premium styling and the latest creative features demonstrates Samsung’s unwavering commitment to innovation within the digital compact camera market, as well as our ability to consistently meet the needs of our customers.”

Samsung DV300F Features

With a 16-megapixel sensor offering high-end snaps the Samsung DV300F bolsters its image capturing abilities with a 25mm wide angle lens that boasts 5x optical zoom. A 3-inch 460k dot rear-mounted display allows for impressive image playback whilst a 1.5-inch front installed screen allows for improved self portraits.

Whilst the DV300F’s video capabilities are taken care of by a 30fps 720p HD offering the compact snapper comes with integrated Wi-Fi connectivity allowing users to upload images direct to the likes of Facebook, Picasa and videos direct to YouTube.

Samsung DV300F Release Date and Price

Set to be made available in a variety of metallic hues the Samsung DV300F will come in black, dark grey with a red back and dark grey with a blue back forms with a $199 (£127.76) price tag in the US when the snapper lands following the March 2012 Samsung DV300F release date.
