Sony Ericsson Xperia Play PSP Phone video advert leaks

PSP Phone to be first Playstation Certified handset

Xperia Play outed again in official video

Yet more information has leaked on the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia Play handset, formerly known as the PSP Phone, with the latest prematurely released details outing the device’s first video advertisement.

Unleashed by Norwegian website DroidNYTT, the video of what is claimed to be the Xperia Play’s first televised advertisement shows the first official gameplay footage on the long-awaited device with racing sims, sci-fi and combat games all getting the PSP Phone treatment.

Somewhat disappointingly the touted graphics of the Xperia Play do not look of improved quality to other current breed ofsmartphones such as the Apple iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S.

If legit the leaked advert, viewable below, will run closer to the censors limits and no doubt attract a number of overtly PC and busybody complaints as the Google Android robot logo goes under the knife for a slightly tasteless human thumb transplant.

Although yet to be officially confirmed by Sony Ericsson the Xperia Play, touted as PlayStation certified in the leaked video, is widely expected to be officially unveiled at the company’s pre-MWC 2011 press conference due to take place in Barcelona on Sunday February 13th.
