3D telly-makers enlist the help of eyewear designer

3D specs to ship with new LG 3D TV range

LG is hoping to make 3D TV a more stylish viewing experience by hiring designer Alain Mikli to help create its new range of 3D glasses.

The 'world-renowned French eyewear designer' who has boutiques in New York, Paris and Milan has crafted the ergonomically designed 3D specs from select metals and has incorporated optimum weight ratio on the the front and back of the glasses which should make them more comfortable to wear while sitting through a 3D blu-ray marathon.

Other notable design elements include a nose pad for a snug fit on the bridge of the nose and extra long tips to help sit comfortably around the sides of the viewer's head.

Set to be unveiled with LG's new range of 3D TVs at CES 2011 in January, T3 will be at the Vegas tech showcase to take a much closer look.
