Leica introduces the M8.2 Safari edition
Ready to rumble in the jungle
Ok, you've got your jabs, got your cream suit, a hat to keep you safe from the sun and someone with a gun to hand. Anything else you need on your adventure holiday? The Leica M8.2 Safari edition of course.
Just 500 of these camouflaged beauties available, all sold with a matching canvas and leather bag with calfskin strap, perfect for carrying your prized possession, along with several cans in insect repellant.
The camera itself is no worthy of your attention too, an upgrade of the Leica M8, the M8.2 offers up a low noise 10.3 megapixel sensor, 2.5-inch display, a range of automatic and manual settings, RAW dat capture and compatibility with all of Leica's M-range lenses. Much lighter than your average DSLR too, which might come in useful if that lion gets frisky.
Obviously it all comes at a frightening price, £10,000 to be precise. Then again, if you can afford to go on safari, you can probably afford the kit too.
