Net radio gets even easier
Radiocube set to boss the world of web radio in 2008.
Fiddling round with settings on your web radio to get thousands of niche stations you never bother listening to is, at best, thoroughly tiresome.
But this nifty new design, dubbed the Radiocube, is about to make internet radio an absolute breeze to use.
Its makers, Cambridge Consultants, reckon we only listen to four stations at the best of times, not the thousands we like to think.
So, their neat design lets you turn the cube onto one of four available sides, so you can you listen to a pre-programmed station. No buttons, no flicking. Nice.
The other two sides are reserved for a speaker and an 'off position'. Stick it this way and it, well, switches off.
Best of all, there's no volume button either. Turn it to the right to fire it up, to the left to take things down a notch.
The inbuilt WiFi connection offers you up to 10,000 different options, you just need to pick the four you want.
There's no news on price yet, although we're assured it won't break the bank. We'll be getting a closer look at CES in Las Vegas in January.
Until then, take a look at the teaser pics over on the left.

This is one hell of a cool little gadget, can't wait to get my paws on it at CES - and if it sounds as good as it looks, I think we've found ourselves a candidate for the music-slinger in my kitchen!
