HTC sure is slinging out the Windows Phone 7 announcements on launch day, with the HTC 7 Pro handset comprising one of five new devices to arrive on Microsoft's new mobile OS.
The HTC 7 Pro, which boasts an intriguing chassis led by a 3.6-inch screen and a slide-out landscape QWERTY keyboard - which lies flat while the screen sits at an angle in much the same way the Nokia N900 does.
The keyboard, which sits below the multi-touch screen, appears to be very spacious and soft, and helps to form a very attractive design from HTC. It is, however, 0.61-inches thick which makes it quite a meaty animal.
There'll also be a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel camera, 720p HD video recording and will host all of the key WP7 features including Xbox Live, a Zune music player, Microsoft Office and a range of hubs for the phone's different compartments.
Of the four HTC WP7 phones announced for the UK today, this is the only one yet to have its release schedule and network affiliation revealed, but the company told TechRadar that it will arrive on these shores in time for Christmas.
You can see how you'll be able to get your hands on the HTC Mozart, HTC HD 7 and HTC Trophy handsets on the Windows Mobile choose your phone page. Those handsets will be up for grabs on 21st October with each UK network getting a slice of the pie.
