Following last week's official Battlefield 3 release date developer EA has teamed up with soft drinks supplier Dr. Pepper to offer free and exclusive Battlefield 3 downloadable content
Electronic Arts has revealed it has teamed up with soft drink manufacturer Dr. Pepper to offer fans of the recently launched first person shooter Battlefield 3 a selection of exclusive downloadable content.
Currently available to Battlefield 3 fans in the US the partnership will see codes on cans and bottles of Dr. Pepper able to be redeemed in order to receive all new and exclusive additional content within the latest edition of the much loved gaming franchise and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 rival.

Whilst the Dr. Pepper exclusive Battlefield 3 content might not incorporate the likes of addition maps or weapons, games supping the drink will be able to gain free access to six new dog tags including Halloween and Hello Kitty themed offerings as well as a new PlayStation Home Avatar and a selection of multiplayer skins.
With EA declaring Battlefield 3 “the fastest-selling game in EA’s history” after the title notched up 5 million unit sales in its opening week fans of the game have reported a number of issues with the title’s multiplayer modes after EA Online servers crashed in the hours after launch.
