ASUS T91 tablet Eee PC primed for UK launch

Upgraded Eee on the shelves in June

It first broke cover at CES in January and we got hands-on with it in March. Now the ASUS T91 tablet Eee PC is ready for a UK launch.

According to one source, the tablet will land in the UK in June for £450, a much heftier price than your average Eee PC, but this is no average netbook. For a start there's that swivelling touchscreen, 8.9-inches in size and able to bend and twist to any angle you fancy. ASUS also promised us a TV tuner and GPS at launch, we're guessing that price hike indicates those two features are still in the finished, UK-bound product. Nice idea, but we're not convinced about securing one of these on a car dashboard or indeed, wanting to watch the pick of the week's TV on such a small screen, swivel or not.

Other features are pretty vague, but previous test models have featured an Intel Atom Z520 processor, 1GB of RAM and 160GB of HDD storage, with the option to go for solid state storage if that floats your boat. If all that appeals, get saving now - the T91 could be here in a matter of weeks.
