After the staggering success of Battlefield 3 it's clear that quite a gauntlet has been laid down by the opposition and Modern Warfare 3 looks set to take that on headfirst
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be out in just four days, the latest in what is proving to be one of the biggest selling series of games in history with Call of Duty: Black Ops grossing more than Avatar, The Dark Knight and even Titanic taking $360 million in its first day of release.
So with the bar being set fairly high it looks as though the pressure is on for Modern Warfare 3 to echo these sales, which of course will, unsurprisingly, only succeed if gamers go out and buy the game. Looking at the best prices across the board it looks to be Game that has come out on top offering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 half price if you trade-in any of the games they specify.
Of course if you don't have any of the games to trade in you'll still be able to get it for £39.87 on Amazon.co.uk, with Tesco coming in a close third offering the title on Xbox 360 and PS3 for £39.90. Trailing behind that are Game, Gamestation and Sainsbury's all who are offering the title around the £40-44 mark.
Mobile selling-solution Simply Tap are offering the game with a heft discount if you sign up to their new way of buying products, by registering all you then have to do is send a code via mobile the and the game will turn up in just a couple of days. The first 1000 people to register with Simply Tap can get £10 cash back on Call of Duty by entering the code 17990220 for Xbox or 17990216 for Playstation
With very few deals available for the title this is the clearest indication yet that high-street and online stores are predicting massive sales with midnight launches planned all over the country.
