Nintendo Wii 2: stream games on controller

New rumour comes as details of next-gen console leak out

New feature suggests Ninety is getting serious with Wii 2.

Just hours after the Wii 2 was comprehensively detailed, a new report has emerged suggesting the new console’s HD screen-packing controller will double up as a handheld console.

IGN has scooped details which suggest gamers will be able to sync titles to the controller, allowing them to play “entire games” on the device, rather than using the TV. With the screen said to be 6-inches across, that sounds like something we could get on board with.

The Wii 2 is expected to land in June at this year’s E3 gaming expo in LA. The new hub is said to have hi-def skills that make the PS3 and Xbox 360 look positively ancient. The console is expected to be released next year.
