The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 UK release date has finally been confirmed by Activision, the game's developer, and is expected to hit British shores on November 8th

Leading industry retailer GAME has revealed the launch date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with the hotly anticipated first person shooter to hit UK markets on November 8th.

Following countless rumours about the release date an GAME yesterday declared: “This afternoon, have [sic] confirmed that the new COD, Modern Warfare 3 will be released on 8th November 2011.”

Update: Following GAME's pre-order kick off, the company's Head of UK PR, Neil Ashurst announced: "Call of Duty is one of most the iconic gaming franchises of this generation, with both Modern Warfare one and two being two of biggest selling games of all time. The next installment, Modern Warfare 3, will be released on 8th November 2011 and we know our customers can’t wait get their hands on it!"

Hot on the heals of Amazon which yesterday made Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 available for pre-order ahead of a November 8th shipping date, is now offering the next instalment of the globally dominating Call of Duty franchise for advanced purchase.

Whilst PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers are able to snap up Modern Warfare 3 for an upfront payment of £44.99 with PC CoD fans needing to splash out £39.99 to secure themselves a copy of the game with just under six months until release.
