Following Amazon’s leaked listing and pricing of the HTC Desire HD earlier this week, a second UK online retailer has shown the much awaited handset on its site as the Carphone Warehouse owned Mobiles.co.uk reveals the Desire HD and HTC Desire Z as ‘coming soon’.
Although no official release date or price has been announced for the follow-up to the hugely popular Android powered HTC Desire the Desire HD is widely expected to be unveiled by manufacturer HTC during its mystery event scheduled for September 15th.
Appearing on Mobiles.co.uk, the upcoming HTC Desire HD handset is described as running: “the latest Android 2.2 Froyo operating system on a stunning 4.3 inch touchscreen display. Powered by a 1GHz processor, the Desire HD is capable of running multiple applications with ease.”
“Formerly known as the Ace, the Desire HD boasts a stunning 8 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture, and free voice guided SatNav with Google Maps.”
With Mobile.co.uk apparently having been privy to a hands-on with the upcoming Desire the online retailer has give the 3G, accelerometer and 4GB internal memory touting handset an overall rating of 97 per cent, creating further excitement and buzz around the device.
Leaked alongside the Desire HD is another Android powered HTC handset in the HTC Desire Z. Whilst the specifications and details surround the Z are more hazy and uncertain than those of the HD, Mobiles.co.uk has pinned the Desire Z with a 94 per cent rating, full QWERTY keyboard and a TFT capacitive touchscreen.
