HTC set to take lead on race for most megapixels.
HTC 16 megapixel Windows Phone 7 handset incoming
HTC is set to load up a 16 megapixel camera onto a spanking new Windows Phone 7 device, with a leaked promo clip giving a glimpse of what we can expect from the forthcoming handset.
As well as the super-high resolution, the camera will rock dual-LED flash too, which means it should work a treat in low light. Sadly, there’s no word on the lens or any other hardcore tech details, so we don’t know just yet whether this really will be a compact killer.
Altek currently holds the record for most megapixels, 14, with its Leo phone. HTC’s new number would crank things up a notch, but wouldn’t guarantee top quality snaps.
This new WP7 phone is yet to be named, although the leaked press shot suggests it will follow a similar design to HTC’s other mobiles packing Microsoft’s mobile OS. Excited? Or over the battle for megapixel supremacy? Have a look at the video below and tell us what you think on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
