Capcom bringing Resident Evil and Street Fighter to Facebook

Gaming giant's big franchises going social next month...

Free ports of iPhone games inbound to your New Feed

If you’ve heard of Farmville you’ll appreciate that gaming on Facebook is now big business. Capcom can clearly see the potential as company president Haruhiro Tsujimoto has announced that its biggest franchises are headed to the social network in as little as a month.

While the exact workings of Camcoms upcoming Facebook games remain a mystery, it is known that ports of the iPhone versions of both Resident Evil 4 and Street Fighter IV will be among the first to land.

Capcom promises a lot more games thereafter, all of which will be free to play but proffer buyable accessories and levels. Cap’s aiming for a million-strong fanbase for the new venture, but if the ports are easily playable we imagine that won’t be too much of a stretch.
