The HTC Puccini has hardly been kept under wraps by the Taiwanese mobile maker, even if it hasn’t been officially revealed yet. PocketNow has snagged a string of official screengrabs, showing Android Honeycomb in action, as well as a promo shot of the device.
The snaps don’t give any clues as to whether HTC Sense will be running atop Honeycomb, although previous reports have suggested that HTC is keen on bringing the custom skin to the Puccini. However, the 1280 x 800, 10.1-inch screen means the keyboard has a numeric pad, as well as a standard keyboard, along with beefed up tabbed browsing.
Word is there’ll be an 8 megapixel camera slapped round the back, with a front-facing camera for video calls. On top of that, the shots also show a pen icon in the dock, which points to HTC Scribe playing nice with the Puccini.
The Puccini should make its debut very soon, especially with Apple said to be prepping the iPad 2 Plus for release next month. For more on this and the rest of the day’s gadget news and gossip, stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter pages.
