Amazon Black Friday FAQ
When did Amazon's Black Friday sales start?
Amazon's Black Friday sales started on 17 November 2023, it then shifted its focus to Cyber Monday, which is on 27 November this year.
Are Amazon's Black Friday deals better than the Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days sales?
In previous years, we've seen larger discounts during Amazon's Black Friday sale than during other periods and that's largely the same again this time. What tends to vary is the wider coverage of products, with a much larger focus across more categories.
Will Amazon's Black Friday deals get better as the days go on?
Amazon rarely drops prices further over the Black Friday sales, although you might see more products receive discounts as the period progresses. It sometimes holds some items back as, like most retailers, it tends to save its best deals for the big day itself.
Of course, Amazon has largely been in full-on deals mode since the first Prime Day in the summer. And we've also only recently had Prime Day 2 in the form of Prime Big Deal Days, so the bargains seem to be rolling on.
Should I expect shipping delays during Amazon's Black Friday sale?
Bar the pandemic years, Amazon has been great in getting Black Friday deliveries to customers quickly, especially those with Prime membership.
However, as the sales progress, you might find that certain products have a longer arrival date as delivery slots are overrun.
Let's not forget, many of the couriers work for multiple retailers, not just Amazon. And, with Black Friday being a more universal sales event it means there are plenty of deliveries to be made across the board.
You might also find that there's a knock-on effect with post-Black Friday purchases also taking a little longer to arrive than usual.
