Twitter hacked:

It looks like Twitter is the latest high profile victim of online hacking scams. The site has been affected by a Javascript hack known as ‘onMouseOver’ which allows links to nefarious web pages to open inside Twitter without users even having to click on them directly.

Security firm Sophos has recommended that, until the Javascript code has been blocked by the social networking site, all users use a third-party client to access Twitter. They have also created a video highlighting the issue which you can see by following the link above.

Media options for iOS:

Recent relaxations of the rules around the Apple App store have allowed for the release of a new VLC Media Player App. Available for free now on the app store, VLC Media Player lets your iOS device play pretty much every media codec on the planet, which is handy.

Microsoft Zune hits Europe:

Coming to the UK in Autumn, Microsoft Zune will offer subscription based music streaming and downloads for £8.99 per month. A tidy quid a month cheaper than Spotify.

In less fortuitous news, Microsoft also had to admit today that  there are game breaking disc errors in Halo: Reach for certain players. Oops.
