Samsung launches ergonomic SMX-C10 camcorder
Active Angle Lens means more power to your elbow
Sleek, slim and with the option to record three hours of your life on a modest memory card, the Samsung SMX-C10 camcorder looks ideal for capturing the best of this year's summer holiday.
Using the same 'touch of colour' paint job that Samsung has been pushing with its notebooks and TVs of late, the SMX-C10 also offers up another neat design feature, Active Angle Lens, which reduces tiredness by allowing a more relaxed grip on the camcorder. That should theoretically make for steadier images for a longer period of time, especially when you throw Samsung's Hyper Image Stabilization into the mix.
Indeed, this is the camera that just keeps on going, with more than more than two hours and 40 minutes of record time on a single charge and with H.264 compression, three hours of 'high quality' footage can be recorded to an 8GB card. If that's not enough, the SMX-C10 also features 10x optical zoom, a 230,000-dot, swivelling 2.7-inch wide LCD screen, easy PC editing via the built-in intelli-studio program, one-touch YouTube upload, time-lapse recording and the option to charge via mains or USB.
The SMX-C10 will be available sometime this month, no price listed as yet, but we don't expect it to break the bank.
