Apple's British born design guru Jonathan Ive is said to be working on the much rumoured Apple iTV television set with a 50-inch model in lock-down
The Apple iTV rumours have just got a little bit tastier with new reports suggesting Apple’s design guru Jonathan Ive is currently putting his magic touch to television displays larger than 42-inches.
Quoting “a source that worked at Apple” stateside news outlet USA Today has claimed that Apple’s repeatedly mooted Wi-Fi packing television sets are indeed a thing of reality with the company’s lead designed tasked with giving them that iconic Apple finish.
“Inside the locked-down studio of Jonathan Ive, senior vice president of industrial design at Apple, there’s a slick 50-inch TV,” the claimed insider source revealed.
Whilst recent reports had suggested the seemingly upcoming Apple iTV units would max out with a 37-inch model, latest suggestions of displays 42-inches across and up would prove fitting with the apparent plans to revolutionise the nature of home television.
All far from officially and with Apple yet to even acknowledge the existence of any Apple iTV devices a number of rumours have speculated on a potential Apple iTV release date with a pre-Christmas 2012 arrival looking likely.
