Google announces mobile app for BlackBerry
Slackers of the world, rejoice!
Google's launching new apps most weeks now, so it's no surprise to hear that they've just unveiled a Google Mobile app for the 40 million BlackBerry smartphones sold by RIM, after announcing a similar app for the iPhone.

The new Google Mobile app will allow users to search on the internet using voice commands, and when coupled with My Location, it can sort the search results geographically - the example Google uses is searching for fish and chips in London, so the restaurants closest to your location will be displayed.
It's not just internet search which can be controlled by voice commands on your 'Berry, with all manner of Google goodies, including Gmail and Google Maps also supported.
Unfortunately the BlackBerry Storm isn't compatible with this new application, however we have it on good authority that all the recent models should work just fine.

I'm quite glad I sold my BB Storm in favour of the G1 now...
Have seen "Unfortunately the BlackBerry Storm isn't compatible with this new application" (or words to that effect) so many times.
Have any decent apps been launched for the Storm? (via the Appstore I mean) - Loved the phone, just got a bit annoyed watching people with iPhones and G1's gasping at how cool their new app was...
