New Black Ops trailer takes us deep behind enemy lines with choppers, nukes and Cold War Russians.
Call of Duty: Black Ops gameplay trailer revealed
Already breaking pre-order records set by its predecessor Modern Warfare 2, publisher Acitivision has given would-be undercover operatives an even closer look Treyarch's successor, Call of Duty: Black Ops, with the release of the official single player trailer yesterday evening.
So, what are we being promised come the November 9th release? Motorbike chases, Russian roulette and a gruff voice telling us to "move without boundaries", "act above the law" and "stop the wars that are hidden from the world" - with a buckload of explosives, if the subsequent scenes are anything to go by.
Previous trailers have already given Call of Duty fans a look at Black Ops' multiplayer modes, with new weapons including exploding crossbow bolts and a remote-controlled toy car strapped with a bomb. We've also seen new takes on multiplayer game types, including a wager system where players can bet the points they accumulate against each other, and a raft of multiplayer arenas based on the game's Cold War setting. And, yes, the return of Call of Duty: World at War's zombie mode.
Last year's installment, Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, broke records accross the board and went on to become the UK's best-selling game of all time. Whether Treyarch's Cold War effort can top its success will become clear on November 9th.
