Xbox recruits Universal Pictures to extend their film download content
Stock up on a host of spanking new content
Joining the illustrious cinematic company of Warner Bros and Paramount pictures, Xbox has announced an agreement with NBC Universal Television Distribution to allow Xbox Live users access to the latest film releases from Universal Pictures.
Announced today at an official Xbox launch in London, the exclusive film deal will enable Xbox Live users to get their controller-festering hands on titles such as the Incredible Hulk (2008) and Wanted, with a choice selection from the NBC Universal Pictures back catalogue also being made available.
Along with seeing Simon Pegg decapitating zombies with a cricket bat in glorious high definition, Xbox also unveiled the ability for Live users to access extra elements for your favourite games, with the likes of Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 gettting an extended gaming life.
In what Xbox hope will be their cherry on the new content cake, their interactive television quiz '1 vs 100' was also revealed. Giving gamers the chance to play against each other for real prizes, Xbox hopes it will go some way to making their entertainment hub as important a piece of living room furniture as your comfy leather sofa.
