'New' Twitter will now be default as social network confirms 'old' Twitter is on its way out.
Twitter has confirmed that it will kill off the ‘old’ version of its website, one year after revealing a souped-up update which left many users cold.
In an official tweet, the company said, “If you’re currently using Old Twitter, we want to let you know that you’ll be upgraded to New Twitter this week.”
It’s just under a year since Twitter gave its website a complete overhaul, offering improved multimedia functionality with the aim of taking on some third party clients. However, some users said they missed the basic look of the original site and that Twitter was moving away from its initial offering.
