HTC’s launch conference was yesterday but with all the hubbub surrounding the two new Android handsets then some things went slightly overlooked. Also shown yesterday was the HTC Media Link box, a DNLA streaming kit that peaked from the covers of mystery.  Elsewhere on the HTC front T-Mobile has announced it will offer the HTC Desire HD from launch. The killer blow, it will be available for free on contract.

Sony vs. Microsoft: the gaming battle is to kick into overdrive tomorrow as the PlayStation Move motion control peripheral from Sony sets to launch. Both companies have had a jump on the competing however as Sony announce the PS3 is to get 3D Blu-ray capabilities on September 21st the very same day that Microsoft unveil brain training for Kinect. We think Sony takes that round.

The tablet wars continue to hot up as it seems each week is marked by the announcement of another tablet being readied for launch. This week, today more precisely Acer has announced a trio of Android 3.0 tablets to launch by the year’s end. This news comes the same day that it is revealed that a new iPad newspaper subscription service is being prepared. Its been a day full of rivalries.
