News@8pm: iPad 2 stock shortages and IE9 released

Apple iPad 2

Welcome to your nightly round-up of the day's news and goings on courtesy of T3.com.

Apple's iPad 2 launched in the US last Friday, like you didn't already know, and since then the second-gen tablet has been shifting like those metaphorical hot cakes. Tipped as Apple's most successful launch to date, the iPad 2 is reported to have sold one million units in its opening weekend in the states. This surge of sales has seen Apple report iPad 2 stock shortages with the camera-touting tablet now taking four to five weeks to ship online orders.
