Samsung has followed in Apple’s footsteps in offering an external USB hub for its tab. Priced at $20 (£13) in the Samsung marketplace this performance enhancing peripheral should widen the appeal of the 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab. In other news, a second-generation 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab has been leaked by Italian gadget blog, HDBlog. The 7-inch tablet will apparently feature 1GB of RAM along with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Google’s 2.3.4 Gingerbread version of Android.

A WSJ journal has revealed that Apple retail store 'Genius bar' employees are forbidden from uttering the term "unfortunately" for fear of negative connotations.  Elsewhere on the Apple front and the Cupertino tech giant is apparently intent on preventing music piracy and free access to gigs with new details of an Apple filed patent revealing the company is to block iPhone's video recording capabilities and live gigs and sporting events.

In video games, the former PR team behind Duke Nukem Forever has made a public apology for threats made via twitter to reviews who had given the heavily delayed game a hard ride through reviews. Sticking with gaming and Call of Duty: Black Ops is to receive its third downloadable content pack later this month with the ‘Annihilation’ map pack to hit Xbox Live on June 28th ahead of a PS3 and PC rollout, leaked in-store advertising has revealed.

Phone retailer, Phones4U has revealed that HTC’s first dual-core Smartphone, the HTC Sensation, is to land on O2 and Orange network plans from July 8th. Away from smartphones and on to tablets and Sony’s iPad-competing tablets, the S1 and S2, are set to arrive in September which could mean direct competing with the iPad3.
