Sony have announced that the outage of PSN will cost the company £106million, on top of Sony's current figures that show over £3billion in losses. Xbox 360 continues to bask in PlayStations' failings, and Microsoft will add 3D HD gaming through a firmware update in the coming weeks to bolster the user's experience.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is heading to Wii and Nintendo DS according to recent reports, and for many, the game cannot come soon enough after the official trailer was unveiled, featuring actual gameplay footage for the first time.

Microsoft is poised to update its Windows Phone 7 to a version, dubbed “Mango”, in Autumn 2011. The OS for PCs, slates and tablets is also due an upgrade, with the Microsoft CEO confirming Windows 8 will be coming in 2012.

Twitter has reportedly purchased TweetDeck in a £25million deal, as the third-party app opted for Twitter over UberMedia. Nike+ GPS celebrated it's fifth birthday by giving away its latest app for free on the Apple App Store.
