Motorola has officially released the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition with the 8.2-inch Android tablet landing with a price tag north of the £300 marker
Taking on the likes of the Apple iPad 2, Motorola’s newly launched 8.2-inch device will go head-to-head with Samsung’s latest Galaxy Tab 7.7 Android offering in the UK with the device handed a price tag that tops the £300 marker.
Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition Price
Set to land just £50 cheaper than its larger sibling and £70 cheaper than the lowest specced but highly coveted Apple iPad 2, the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition UK price has been set at £329.99.
With the 7-inch Android powered Amazon Kindle Fire hitting the UK in recent weeks with a minimalist $199 (£124) price tag and a UK arrival expected to follow in the coming months, Motorola’s scaled down tablet device could face stiff competition.
Disappointingly forgoing the recently launched Amazon 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS in favour of its now aging 3.2 Honeycomb rendition the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition is set to land with a bevy of premium innards with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor to feature alongside 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Only available in a Wi-Fi connectivity form, the Xoom 2 Media Edition spec is to be plumped by the inclusion of a rear-mounted 5-megapixel camera alongside a 1.3-megapixel forward-facing snapper, an 8.2-inch Gorilla glass HD display and a minimalist 8.99mm thickness and 386 gram heft.
