DJ Hero 2 brings two turntables and Lady Gaga

Double the wheels of steel and now you have to rock the mic

It's going to be a royal Guitar Hero/Singstar/DJ Hero mash-up

Prepare your cross-fading fingers once again as Activision announces details of DJ Hero 2, where this time you'll need two turntables and a microphone.

Doubling up on the turntable peripherals looks likely to support the new multiplayer modes which include DJ battles with mixes produced specifically for the new game mode and jump in/jump out Party Play. The addition of a microphone means you'll now be able to have some accompanying singing or rapping vocals for your living room performance.

If you are more concerned with going solo and want to experience the steady rise from bedroom DJ to being the major music mogul, Empire mode will let you achieve once and for all those vivid music industry dreams.

After making Gwen Stefani's 'Hollerback Girl' finally bearable to listen to by blending it with Rick James's 'Give It to me Baby' DJ Hero 2 is adding over 70 new tracks which include Dr. Dre, The Chemical Brothers, Kanye West, Metallica and yes, Lady Gaga. Canada's finest electro house export DeadMau5 will also feature as an in-game playable character.

To give you a taste of things to come, Activision has given DJ Hero owners the opportunity to download an exclusive DJ Hero 2 mix which features Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" mixed Deadmau5's "Ghosts 'n' Stuff." for free. Xbox 360 gamers can download the mash-up from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace from today until the 14th June.

DJ Hero 2 is expected to launch at the end of the year which we reckon could be around October, and will be available on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
