Twitter Guinness World Record set by Charlie Sheen
Actor Charlie Sheen has become the fastest Twitter user to reach 1 million followers with the Two and a Half Men star reaching the milestone in a little over a day.
Sheen, who has been making media headlines of late thanks to a series of bizarre comments and erratic behaviour, clocked up 1 million Twitter followers in just 25 hours and 17 minutes after adopting the Twitter handle @CharlieSheen, earning himself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Flocking to his virtual, micro-blogging side, more than 1 million Twitter users have signed up to follow Sheen in a hope of hearing more about the tiger blood he claims runs through his veins, find out if he really is a man from Mars and discover where exactly he gets that drug he’s on called Charlie Sheen.
Sheen, who as we write this has more than 1.23 million Twitter followers, declares himself on the social outlet as an “unemployed winner” adds to his profile: “Born Small... Now Huge... Winning... Bring it..!” Having acquired the Twitter handle @CharlieSheen from a so called “squatter” the real Sheen is reported to have taken Twitter lessons and advice from celebrity Twitter endorsers Ad.ly before embarking on his micro-blogging ranting adventure.
