Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 publisher Activision has released the first official screenshots from the upcoming game ahead of the first person shooter’s arrival on November 8th.

Depicting scenes of gunfire in urban environments with hints of chemical warfare in major cities and images of undersea missions, the released screenshots offer a tantalising look at the next addition to the globally dominant Call of Duty franchise.

Following the official release of the first Modern Warfare 3 gameplay trailer earlier this week, a trailer that confirmed the game would see levels set in New York, Berlin, Paris and London, the screenshots offer a more detailed look at the environments in which the game’s action sequences will be taking place.
Set to officially launch on November 8th Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has already hit pre-order with UK retailers battling it out to offer the best deal. Currently coming up trumps supermarket giant Sainsbury’s is letting eager gamers pre-order Modern Warfare 3 for £36.
