Wearable tech continued to mature in 2026, with brands focusing less on headline-grabbing gimmicks and more on refining the features people actually use.

Smarter health insights, longer battery life and more capable software became the norm, while competition across every category pushed manufacturers to deliver better experiences at every price point.

It was also a year that proved there's no single formula for success. Running watches became lighter and more capable, outdoor wearables reached new levels of sophistication, and smart rings cemented their place as serious health companions rather than niche accessories.

Even fitness headphones evolved, delivering better sound and greater comfort without sacrificing the situational awareness active users rely on. The result is one of the strongest fields we've seen in years.

After months (and months) of testing, training and living with this year's contenders, these are the wearables that impressed us the most. From chasing a marathon PB and exploring the mountains to simply looking to better understand your health, the winners below represent the very best wearable technology of 2026.

Coros Pace 4

Winning one T3 Award is impressive, if we can say so ourselves. However, winning back-to-back awards is something else entirely, and Coros has managed exactly that.

After last year's Pace Pro took the crown, the Coros Pace 4 builds on that success with another superb running watch that proves you don't need to spend flagship money to get flagship performance.

Designed for runners but capable enough for triathletes and multisport athletes alike, the Pace 4 delivers the excellent battery life, pinpoint GPS accuracy and intuitive training tools Coros has become famous for. It strips away unnecessary distractions and focuses on what matters most: helping athletes train smarter and race faster.

Perhaps most impressive is just how much value it offers. While rivals continue adding premium price tags, the Pace 4 remains refreshingly accessible without compromising on features or performance.

Coros has firmly established itself as one of the biggest names in endurance sports, and the Pace 4 is another reminder of why. It's our Best Running or Multisport Watch of 2026.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic review

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic

The return of the rotating bezel is reason enough for many Android users to celebrate, but the Galaxy Watch8 Classic offers far more than nostalgia.

Samsung has refined almost every aspect of its flagship wearable, combining elegant design with a polished software experience and a comprehensive suite of health, fitness and wellbeing features.

The rotating bezel remains one of the smartest smartwatch interfaces available, making navigation faster and more intuitive than endless touchscreen swipes.

Add a vibrant display, strong performance and seamless integration with the wider Galaxy ecosystem, and you have a smartwatch that's equally at home in the office and on a morning run.

It's stylish, capable and remarkably well-rounded, setting a new benchmark for Android smartwatches. For that reason, the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic is our Best Smartwatch of 2026.

Oura Ring 5

Following last year's victory was never going to be easy, but Oura has somehow managed to raise the bar once again.

Rather than reinventing the smart ring, the Oura Ring 5 focuses on meaningful improvements, with a slimmer design, longer battery life and a more durable finish that make the smart ring even easier to wear around the clock.

Plus, Oura's industry-leading health insights continue to set the standard for sleep, recovery and readiness tracking.

What makes the Ring 5 stand out is how effortlessly it disappears into daily life. It gathers an extraordinary amount of health data without demanding attention, quietly building a picture of your wellbeing that's genuinely useful rather than overwhelming.

Competition in the smart ring market is growing rapidly, yet Oura continues to lead the pack through a combination of thoughtful hardware and exceptionally polished software. Two years, two wins – and a thoroughly deserved Best Smart Ring award for 2026.

Garmin Fenix 8 Pro

The Fenix range has long been the benchmark for outdoor adventure watches, and the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro reinforces that reputation with its most capable model yet.

It combines class-leading navigation, outstanding battery life and comprehensive training tools in a package that's built to withstand almost anything.

The introduction of Garmin's stunning MicroLED display adds another layer of refinement, delivering exceptional visibility while maintaining the endurance serious adventurers expect.

Despite packing an extraordinary list of features, the Fenix 8 Pro remains intuitive enough for everyday training while offering all the mapping, navigation and expedition tools needed for longer adventures.

It may be overkill for casual users, but for those who demand the very best outdoor watch money can buy, nothing else comes close. The Garmin Fenix 8 Pro is a worthy winner of T3's Best Outdoor Watch award.

Shokz OpenFit Pro

Shokz has spent years perfecting audio for active people, and the OpenFit Pro represents the company's most complete workout headphones to date.

The open-ear design keeps you aware of your surroundings while delivering richer, fuller sound than we've come to expect from this style of earbud. That makes them equally suited to busy city runs, long rides and gym sessions, where comfort and situational awareness are just as important as audio quality.

The lightweight fit is another standout. Even during longer workouts, the OpenFit Pro stays comfortably in place without creating the pressure or fatigue associated with traditional in-ear buds.

Combined with reliable battery life, clear calls and a premium finish, they become an easy recommendation for anyone who exercises regularly.

Workout headphones are all about balancing sound, comfort and safety, and few products do it better than the Shokz OpenFit Pro. That's why it's our Best Fitness Headphones winner.
