The Stinson One7 shows HOKA is rethinking one of its wildest shoes

HOKA has been steadily nudging its performance shoes into the lifestyle space, and the new Stinson One7 feels like the brand’s boldest step so far.

It’s built on the same maximalist chassis as the Stinson 7, the company's reliable trail running shoes, but the aesthetics lean heavily into fashion-forward design cues that echo the brand's growing presence in streetwear.

A shift hiding in plain sight

It is part technical update, part aesthetic shift, and part statement about where HOKA wants the Stinson family to sit in 2026 and beyond.

Instead of a straight performance refresh, the One7 fuses the tooling and cushioning of the Stinson 7 with the upper and internal structure of the lighter Stinson Lite.

It creates a hybrid silhouette that still carries real trail credentials, yet looks significantly more futuristic than any previous Stinson release.

Form rewritten, function retained

Up close, the lifestyle influence is impossible to miss. The translucent mono mesh upper, oversized bird graphic, reflective framing and internal cage create a layered, sculptural look that leans more towards fashion-forward trail style than mountain utility.

It feels in line with the direction set by the Unna collaboration, but the One7 pushes the design language further by pairing those visual cues with a fully updated chassis underneath.

Despite the shift in appearance, the familiar traits of the Stinson lineage are still present.

The CMEVA midsole, stabilising H-Frame, and 3D-moulded heel clip aim to create the same secure ride people expect from HOKA’s maximal trail platform.

There is enough structure for uneven paths, enough cushioning for long days on your feet, and enough grip from the multi-directional outsole to bridge the gap between pavement and softer ground.

It is not designed for gnarly mountain racing, but it is built to handle the kind of mixed terrain that has defined the Stinson’s identity since the original model.

The Stinson One7 launches on 12 December 2025 in three colourways for $185 / £170 / €190. For full details, head over to HOKA US, HOKA UK and HOKA EU.
