Flash 10.1 and WiFi hotspotting? Go on then...
Samsung has announced that it will be bringing the Android 2.2 update to its Galaxy S smartphone in early November, and is currently testing it with all UK operators. The update will be made available to Galaxy S phones (regardless of network) through Samsung’s in-house download manager and upgrade program Kies. That software in itself has been updated, and will be available to download to mobile from samsungmobile.co.uk
There’s no specific date mentioned as yet – just ‘from early November’ – but Samsung is suggesting that all versions of the update will have rolled out by the end of next month. Samsung Mobile’s Simon Stanford says that “this upgrade enhances the incredible features of the Galaxy S handset.”
Android 2.2 allows users to view websites and content that use Flash 10.1, as well as use their mobile as a wireless WiFi hotspot and save apps to the memory card. Are you excited? Let us know on the T3 Twitter feed.
