PSN: Sony now 'hyper vigilant' says boss

SCEE chief says Sony grateful to punters for sticking with PSN

Interview comes as former Anonymous member held by police.

Sony is now “hyper vigilant” about its security following April’s major hack on the PlayStation Network. That’s according to SCEE boss Andrew House, who told CVG that the company was being more stringent about looking after user’s data.

“[It’s] a responsibility we now take even more seriously than we did before. We'll try our absolute best to try and make our system as secure as we possibly can,” said House in a video interview with the gaming site.

Sony is not the only gaming giant to suffer at the hands of hackers, with Sega attacked last week. House added that Sony was, “…genuinely humbled and extremely grateful to those consumers who have continued to put their trust in us.”
