After officially announcing the Motorola RAZR running Gingerbread all eyes have now pointed to Motorola's next anticipated product, the Motorola Xoom 2 and whether it would be packing Ice Cream Sandwich
Having officially unveiled the Motorola RAZR the rumour mill has now gone into overdrive over whether the upcoming Xoom 2 will be running Ice Cream Sandwich, Google's latest operating system.
With Gingerbread and Honeycomb being for Phones and Tablets respectively Google has released Android 4.0 as a hybrid operating system which will unite the two products in much the same way iOS does for Apple.
With only one phone so far officially coming with Ice Cream Sandwich; the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, all eyes have now turned on which tablet will be making the debut of the latest OS from Google.
Motorola Xoom 2 release imminent?
Looking at all the evidence it would make sense for Motorola to have their latest tablet running the new OS. After pictures were leaked showing what was reported to be the Xoom 2 it would appear as though the product is taking design cues from the RAZR possibly setting a new design standard for the company.
With an announcement from Motorola due to happen at lunchtime today, it won't be a long wait to find out what direction the company is taking and whether we'll be seeing a new update to the Xoom.
